Medical Principal House Officers / Registrars - August 2010 Start
We have been asked to assist our Central Queensland Coast client to fill up to 5 positions in General Medicine from August 2010. These positions are available due to existing British staff returning to the UK, so we are looking for the next group to fill their shoes!!
The positions are at Principal House Officer level, which is equivalent to a registrar and requires the successful applicants to be in their 4th year since graduation. Ideally you will have completed all or part of MRCP by the time you commence and be looking to continue a career in general medicine or any of the subspecialties.
Situated at the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef on the Central Coast of Queensland, this hospital is a secondary level hospital providing services to the regional population of approaching 100,000. Here you will enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of a provincial town while enjoying Australia's world famous climate and beaches.
To be eligible for this position you:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Queensland
- Will have at least 18 months experience in General Medicine or its subspecialties
- Will be available to commence in Early August 2010 for at least 12 months.
Opportunities exist for the right candidates to move into higher training positions at the completion of 12 months.

Paediatric Principal House Officer / Registrar
Located just 5 hours drive north of Brisbane, our coastal Queensland client is seeking applications to fill the position of Principal House Officer in Paediatrics. A principal house officer is equivalent to a ST1-3 registrar. This role will provide a great platform to launch into higher training in Paediatrics for the right applicant.
This hospital is a 140+ bed secondary level hospital, very similar to a DGH in the UK. It offers a range of secondary level services including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paedicatrics and has an 11 bed ICU / HDU.
Situated at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, this is a fabulous location for those of you interested in winding away your spare time at the beach or diving through the coral reefs. With some 90km of unspoilt coastline to explore, this is as close to paradise as you will get!
