Tasmania has gained a reputation as a friendly and safe place, with pristine wilderness areas, some on the world’s heritage listing.

Weather

Tasmania ’s summer generally runs from December to February where the temperature is warm. The winter months can be crisp and cold with a lot of cloud. Spring can be the windiest time in Tasmania, early September can be quite cold but the weather can also be very changeable.

Cost of Living

Overseas travelers should find Tasmania generally cheap. Daily costs of living and accommodation can be cheaper than other states in Australia.
